Next time my mum asks me why I keep all my old magazines, I am going to direct her straight to the above photograph! To be fair, these Clarins bits are kind of a cheat because everything apart from the lipsticks were birthday presents. I've tried a lot of these Clarins bits before but I'm most excited about the Gentle Exfoliating Toner, the Moisture Rich Body Lotion (genuinely the nicest body lotion ever!) and to have a restock of the ever famous Beauty Flash Balm. In case you're wondering the lipstick shades are Lilac Pink (top row) and Rosy Coral (bottom row) from the Rouge Prodige range. These were on sale for around a tenner and they are sheer, glossy loveliness - they're still some shades available on the Clarins website too!
The Harrods online sale was where the real damage happened. The Laura Mercier Secrets Volume 4 was an absolute steal at just £20, especially because it includes a great travel size of the Radiance Primer, which alone retails for £18.50. I also caved and picked up the Fresh Fig Bath & Body set, which includes a full size shower creme and a smaller body souffle and scrub for £25. I see these LM sets crop up in the sales quite often, so if you didn't snag one this time round keep an eye out in the January sales! They're definitely well worth a purchase.
Lastly I made a quick The Body Shop order, which kind of has that 'everything must go!!!' feel to it these days, don't ya think? So many promotions and offers and deals that it was hard to keep track of everything - but I'm not complaining because all four of these bits came in at just over £20! If you're a rewards card holder you can purchase the body mists for half price at £3.50, so I picked up the fresh and clean smelling Moringa Body Mist to use as a bit of a room/pillow spray too. The Vanilla Body Scrub is what I'll be using to de-fake-tan and I also picked up the Toffee Born Lippy to stick in my beach bag whilst I'm on holiday as most of my lip balms are the pot kind. The Honey Bronze Dry Oil was actually the only thing I had set out on buying - the perfect tan companion and a £16 dupe of the NARS/Nuxe offerings.
I'll be reporting back on these bits very soon, some have already become firm favourites!, but for now I'll sign off with the usual 'no more spending for meeeeee' speech - although this time it's actually true! After the Tropical Taboo collection is release (Rio MSF, you will be mine!) I'm going on a full on, hard core, cold turkey spending ban and I'm determined to do it! I'm thinking 2 months, that's do-able, right? ....Right? Let me know if you've purchased any new bits lately or if you found any bargains in the sales, and as always link me to your own haul posts!
