On one of my latest e-bay nail art stalk-ups, I picked up a bunch of standard 99p striping tape. I think I got like 10 wheels in metallic green, red, golds and the above blue. Now initially I bought the striping tape to do something similar to this but after a quick Google it turns out there's a whole world of possibilities when it comes to striping tape. Out of all of them, I went for the simplest; erm, stripes.
After a quick coat of Sinful Colours in Snow Me White, I got to work on sticking the blue tape vertically along my nails. Here's where you can experiment, placing the tape horizontally, diagonally or even in zig zags. Once I had the tape firmly in place I just painted over a light coat of the next shade. While the polish is still wet you remove the striping tape, add a top coat and voila! it's as easy as that. I chose to go with some pastels, but next on my hitlist is nude and white stripes with maybe some gold glitter thrown in.
I picked up my striping tape here and it did take bloomin' ages to arrive, but for 99p and free delivery you can't really argue. Have you tried out any striping tape nail art before?
