I've been wanting to get a bit of a category affair going on the blog for a while now, and after a lot of head scratching I've decided to kick off with Bite Sized Beauty. I'm thinking a weekly post including a few short reviews/tips/rants all bundled up into speedy, bite sized, bullet points - geddit? So here's this week's rundown.
1. Here is what I would like to call a beauty fail. CHANEL Imitable Intense mascara. Anyone tried it? I received it for my birthday and finally got round to using it this week and I am so not impressed. I've just found that it makes my lashes look all dry and flakes like a b-iatch. Am I doing it wrong??
2. It has been so long since I last slapped on the brown stuff that my first attempt back at Xen Tan resulted in a panicked run to the shower to wash it all off again! Rusty application skills + a glove with a whole in it = total disaster. So what I did instead was mix the fake tan in with a bit of gradual tanner, or you could try an oil free moisturiser. As well as diluting the fake tan down, it slowed down the drying process meaning I had more time to blend everything in properly - score!
3. I'm just gonna put this out there - major TK Maxx envy of all you Solihull dwellers out there.
I picked up the Emma Hardie scrub for half price - still steep at £20 but I thought it was worth a go - and the Mavala polishes for just £6.99. I'll be reporting back on them soon. I also saw the most amazing Reiss winter coat for £70 and - get this - a LANVIN bag for just £250 (still couldn't afford it though).
Have a great week guys and I'll be back next Sunday with some more beauty morsels.
