The One and Only tag has definitely been a bit of a challenge for me. Having to pick just one nail polish to wear for eternity? I nearly had a fit just thinking about it. But the lovely Vicky tagged me and I loved reading her answers so, after lots of head scratching and chin stroking, here's what I came up with...
The Question: If you could only have one ______ what would it be? And, in a few words, why?
Primer - Clarins Instant Smooth Self Tanning. However I've only ever tried a grand total of , erm, 2 primers and am still looking for one that will blow me away when it comes to longevity. Reccomendations warmly welcolmed :)
Base Product - MAC Face and Body. It just does everything. It's lightweight but buildable, photographs nicely and with a hefty helping of powder it stays put on my combo skin.
Concealer - Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage. Hard to get the hang of at first, but buffed onto well prepped and moisturised skin this stuff is a god send.
Powder - MAC Prep & Prime Translucent Powder. Mine smashed after I dropped it down the stairs and since then I'd discarded it to the back of my beauty stash. But I've recently been using it again and although I end up with white dust everywhere it really keeps the skin matte longer than my other powders.
Blush (cream or powder) - Stila Convertible Colour in Peony. It's a lovely natural rosey brown and I think it compliments my skin tone nicely.
Bronzer - Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess. It comes in a lovely mirrored compact and you get a whopping 21g of product. No shimmer and it's the perfect balance between orangey and ashy.
Highlighter - Illamasqua Aurora in Gleam. I love how this looks on the skin, almost wet looking. Without a doubt the most flattering highlight I've treid.
Make-Up Brush (single) - Real Techniques Blush Brush. It makes applying powder and cream products a doddle and the duo fibre hairs stop things from looking too cakey.
Eyebrow Product - MAC Charcoal Brown Eyeshadow. Does that count? It's the only thing I've ever used on my brows, although I really want to try the Kevyn Aucoin pencil and MUFE Aqua Brow!
Eye shadow (single) - MAC Antiqued Eyeshadow. I whip this out almost everytime for smokey eyes - it's the most gorgeous reddened bronze shade.
Eyeliner - Illamasqua Precision Gel Eyeliner. I'm going with Vicky on this one - this stuff is non-budging, water resisting amazingness.
Mascara - Clinique Lash Power. It's a tubing mascara so only needs a bit of warm water to come off, it doesn't flake, smudge of weigh the lashes down - perfect for holding a curl!
Lipstick, Lip Gloss or Lip Stain - Chanel Rouge Allure in 85 Coquette. It's a pretty neutral pink shade that goes with absolutely every makeup look.
Lip Liner - MAC Cherry without a doubt.
Lip Balm - Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine. It's perfect for my lips which don't really get too dry but still need that extra helping hand. And it smells amazing.
Nail Polish - Essie Aperitif. A bit boring but I just went with a classic red. I love pastels and brights but I think this shade is one of those that you won't get bored of!
I tag..... you!
