The Tangle Teezer or The Tangle Angel?

I love the Tangle Teezer £10.99. It's been my hairbrush for the last three years and I've never even looked twice at another hairbrush. But my fluro pink one is most definitely on its last legs now so I thought now's as good a time as any to branch out - broaden my horizons, if you will - and try something new. So say hello to the Tangle Angel £12.99. With the first stroke I was like, "well this ain't no Tangle Teezer," but after a few uses I'm fully converted.

Basically at first the Tangle Angel didn't feel like it was actually brushing my hair, instead it felt like it was just brushing/smoothing the top layer? Do you know what I mean? But I tried it a few more times and as I kept brushing my thoughts turned from "regret you" to "LOVE YOU". It just brushes through knots without snagging on them at all and really smooths them out rather than rakes them out. Which sometimes my Tangle Teezer was a culprit of. Also the handle is genius. Lone gone are the days of my brush going flying across the room as soon as it came into contact with a badass tangle.

The only thing is the design. I am not a fan, although my 8 year old niece would probably love it. Good news is that it also comes in black, silver and blue so there's definitely something that will suit everyone. However, the Tangle Angel is only available online from what I can see, whereas the Tangle Teezer is readily available in Boots. If you have really thick hair I say go for the Tangle Angel, it's more gentle and won't fly out of your hands when you get stuck on a knot, if not then go for the Tangle Teezer

  1. OOh this looks intriguing. Does the back of it look the same as the tangle teaser?

  3. I have the Tangle Teezer and I find that it does snag my hair a lot because it is so thick. This sounds like a great alternative :)

  6. Ooops! I'll try and get a photo up this week of it. The Tangle Angel's bristles are at different levels compared to the Tangle Teezer which are all at the same level xx
