These suuuuper cute looking polishes caught my eye straight away in Superdrug. The almost-white shades are from L'Oreal's Les Blancs collection for SS, and are part of a four shade strong line up. I went for 850 Lemon Merangue, 856 Peach Negligee and 852 Pistachio Drage, all of which retail at £4.99 each and are currently on 3 for 2 in Superdrug and Boots. The other shade available is 851 Nouvele Vague, a paler than pale lilac.
The idea behind these polishes seems to be that they have the smallest, tiniest hit of colour dropped into a white base (hence the name Les Blancs?), making for some very feminine, elegant and super wearable shades. Aren't they just beautiful!? To go alongside these pastels, L'Oreal have also released some pretty glitter top coats, and I especially like the look of the shade Gold Leaf - I'm sure that will make it's way home with me soon!
For such pale shades, these polishes apply amazingly smooth with no streaks and are perfectly opaque in two coats. They also dry pretty fast too! The brushes on these L'Oreal Colour Riche Polishes are a lovely flat, rounded shape, making it super easy to get up close to the cuticles and create a nice neat edge. I'm definitely struggling to pick a favourite, but 856 Peach Negligee (above photo) is the shade that I had to whack on my nails first.
For £4.99 the L'Oreal Les Blancs polishes are an amazing bargain and they'll be the polishes that you'll lacquer on again and again come this spring. I definitely need to pick up some more from the Colour Riche range; formula/packaging/pigmentation wise I'm super impressed. Which shade is your favourite from the Les Blancs range? Do you have any shades from the Colour Riche range to recommend?
