This sorry looking trio are my never worn MAC products. Now don't get me wrong, I have hopefully applied these to my face many a time (when I'm supposed to be tidying my room and I stumble across these in the back of my dressing table). But by 'never worn' I actually mean that I've never successfully worn these out of my house. Actually, out of my bedroom is probably more accurate.
1. MAC Club Eyeshadow £14 - too many products to get round to using them all.
Here's the weird thing about this one. I am always singing its praises and going on and on about its beautiful duochrome finish - I mean, it's a stunning shade. But when it comes to whipping up a smokey eye, Club just gets shunned to the side in favour of all of my gold, bronze and copper shadows. Talk about comfort zone, right? Do you have this shadow? If so what do you pair it with? I've made a pact with myself to wear it on our next girls night so let me know your favourite way to wear it!
2. MAC In Synch Lip Pencil £14 - the product is a bit pants. End of.
Now ladies, what we have here is Concealer Lips masquerading as a pretty MAC lip pencil. You might be thinking "Oooo what a pretty nude peach shade that is!" Well, stop all your musings right there. This lip pencil has magic properties and manages to turn the most healthiest of skin tones sallow and ill looking. OK, slight exaggeration. This would perhaps be great for very pale skin tones but for anyone who isn't porcelain, I wouldn't recommend. It's also super dry and patchy to apply. FAIL.
3. MAC Candy Yum-Yum Lipstick £15 - you should never have bought the product in the first place - what were you thinking?!
I honestly have no idea why I bought this. It's a lovely formula (it's not drying although you'll need to make sure your lips are primed perfectly beforehand) but this shade is just not me. At all. It's neon bright bubble gum pink. Which leads me to my first point; why did I buy this??
So that's my top three 'never worn' MAC products! And it just shows that buying expensive products is not always the way to guarantee you will love a product. The make up you will love and use often is ultimately the make up you feel comfortable with - be that super expensive or dirt cheap. Are there any MAC, or any other brand, products that you've bought but never used?
